Some facts about our EIS
- It describes the potential impacts of the project and ways to avoid, minimise or mitigate these impacts
- It has just over 10,000 pages of information about the project including technical reports based on scientific studies
- It is made up of five volumes plus an Executive Summary
- The volumes are:
- It includes modelling of the cumulative impacts of other projects, including CSG to LNG projects, in the same study area
- Is available in an innovative online book format, improving accessibility, user-friendliness and sustainability
- This is the first time an EIS has been presented in this format
Released for public comment
The Coordinator-General released the Australia Pacific LNG EIS on the 29th March for public comment and examination by government advisory agencies. Submissions may be from 9am on the 29th March up until 5pm on the 4th of May, 2010.
Have your say on the EIS
The Australia Pacific LNG Project is proposed to span from gas fields in the Surat and Bowen Basins in Queensland along a 450km pipeline to the planned LNG facility near Laird Point on Curtis Island off Gladstone.
The Project EIS is available for public comment, offering all stakeholders and community members an opportunity to provide feedback about the Project to the government.
We’re interested in your views and encourage you to provide feedback on the EIS during the public consultation period. You can review the EIS and have your say by providing feedback or comments to the Coordinator-General by following the formal feedback process.

How to make a submission
All formal submissions regarding the EIS must be made in writing to the Coordinator - General during the public submission period (March 29 - May 4).
The Coordinator-General will consider properly made submissions to determine if additional information about the EIS or the Project is required and also when preparing an evaluation report on the EIS.
Properly made submissions must:
- be made in writing to the Coordinator-General (either electronically or in hard copy)
- be received within the submission period
- be signed by each person making the submission
- state the name and address of each person making the submission
- state the grounds of the submission, and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of these grounds.
Submissions should not be made directly to Australia Pacific LNG.
