Employment
We need all sorts to make this project work
We need to drill and establish 10,000 gas wells in the Bowen and Surat Basins over the next 30 years; construct a gas transmission pipeline about 520 kilometres long; and build an LNG facility on Curtis Island, off the coast of Gladstone. So, we’re going to be busy! And, we need help.
We need people from geosciences, pipeline workers, even more engineers (yes, more!), rig operators, landowner support teams, indigenous and community affairs people, site managers, operations crews, field and plant operators, jetty subcontractors, builders, electrical and instrument trades, painting, fireproofing and insulation workers, safety and risk advisors, surveyors, project managers, health and safety advisors, tank workers and environmental scientists...and that’s not all of the ones we could have listed!
This is a massive project with positive momentum and a lot of passionate people involved.
We want to create a rewarding workplace that encourages personal development, recognises good performance, values teamwork and fosters equality.
Are you looking for the opportunity to work on a project like that?
We'll need 6,000 people over the life of the project...
A peak workforce of approximately 6,000 workers will be required during the development and construction phase and approximately 1,000 during the operational phase of the Project.
Who can you work with?
Gas field jobs
Origin, the largest integrated energy company operating across Australia and New Zealand, will construct and operate the Project’s gas fields and main gas transmission pipeline and has offices across the project area.
